The nation would not accept any agreement such as NRO: PTI

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has claimed on Monday that there is a strong link between disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia and his offshore company titled Hill Metal.

The spokesperson for the opposition political party addressed a press conference in Lahore and criticised Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif and president of federally ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif.

Chaudhry claimed that the purpose of visit of the two brothers revolves around family’s shell company Hill Metal which allegedly was used for money laundering and stashing wealth abroad.

He said that the nation would not accept any agreement such as NRO.

The PTI leader said that all the criminals who are serving jail time should walk free as well if Nawaz strikes NRO.

Chaudhry asserted that the government of Saudi Arabia would maintain terms with Pakistan state and not with one corrupt family. He said that Indian media has claimed that Nawaz has struck a deal. Why there are celebrations in India over Nawaz’s deal, Chaudhry questioned.

He alleged finance minister Ishaq Dar of serving as Nawaz’s henchman to launder money using offshore companies including Capital FZE.

PTI chairman Imran on Nawazs Saudi visit

Imran Khan claimed on Monday that Nawaz Sharif s money is routed through United Kingdom (UK) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to personal accounts.

"Pattern of money flows through Capital FZE reveal money being routed through UK,KSA & then into personal accounts & companies of Sharif family," he wrote on Twitter.

PTI has asserted that Sharif brothers  latest visit to the Kingdom aims at  cleaning  the money trail as the family is being probed by accountability courts for alleged money laundering and graft after the apex court ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in July to lodge cases.

Nawaz Sharif was disqualified as the premier of Pakistan on petitions against his alleged corruption following Panama Leaks in 2016.

Hill Metal, Capital FZE and other shell companies

Hill Metal Establishment is an offshore company headquartered in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia owned by Hussain Nawaz, son of the disqualified premier.

The company is stated to be dealing in recycling of steel.

The top court had cited on July 28 in its disqualification verdict that Nawaz Sharif did not disclose the salary he was entitled to as a senior official of his son s company which, legally, counts as his asset and should have been declared, but was not.
